A native of North Carolina, Dr. Lowery attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Morehead Scholar. He also received his medical degree at UNC- Chapel Hill. Dr. Lowery completed his general surgery at The University of Florida- Gainesville and completed his orthopedic training as a chief resident at The George Washington University Hospital in Washington DC. He obtained fellowship training in shoulder and knee reconstruction and sports medicine in Long Beach, California at The Southern California Center for Sports Medicine. Dr. Lowery is currently board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine.
Currently, Dr. Lowery is an active sports enthusiast, pilot, and musician. His experience with elite athletes, Olympians, endurance equestrians, ice skaters, gymnasts, swimmers, runners and football players add to his commitment to sports medicine and overall orthopedic care. Dr Lowery enjoys practicing medicine and caring for all of his patients who are in search of an active life.
